Why Can’t I Lose Weight?

Portion size is a huge factor. Have you ever paid attention to what an actual serving size is? When we sit down to eat a wonderful home-cooked meal, instead of serving ourselves only a single serving size of each item, we tend to load our plates up.
When you go out to eat at restaurants, unless they are very elaborate, they serve much more than a reasonable serving size of each item. Pay attention to that serving size. The portion size could be a huge factor in not losing weight even if you are eating all the right foods.

Another reason could be the fact that you just eat to much fatty foods. Eating foods high in fat is just a part of most of our lives. It is something that we just do not think about many times. Fatty foods are not always the stuff like chips, candy and ice cream. It can also be just the way the food is prepared that makes it fatty. Fried foods are a favorite but they are horrible for your weight and over all health.
Some people have a really hard time losing weight because they do not exercise. If you are an inactive person, you will have a much harder time losing weight than anyone else, even if you are eating right. You have to be active and burn calories. Even if you are eating healthy meals, you are taking in calories. If you are not doing something burn those calories, it is going to mean no weight loss or even weight gain.
Health issues are an issue for many people who are not able to lose weight as well. Hormonal imbalance can cause weight loss issues. If your hormones are off balance it can prevent you from losing weight and can even cause weight gain. Thyroid issues are another factor to take a look at. If your thyroid does not perform properly is can cause all sorts of problems including prevention of weight loss. There are also some medications that can prevent weight loss, such as antidepressants.
As you can see there are many reasons that you can experience problems losing weight. Everything from eating habits, exercise habits to health issues can have an effect on your weight.
