Kettlebells: A New Twist on an Old Exercise

Often we think what will we get from exercise? But we forget that exercise helps to keep us happy and healthy. And the most amazing part of exercise is that it keeps you in shape and increases your life-cycle.

There are many people yelling to lose fat and insist on building muscles. One of the most beneficial equipments that help you achieve your desire is the kettlebell.

Kettlebell is a term originated from Russia and the original forms of kettlebells were made up of iron with a large weighted ball and a handle. The kettlebells are also used in sports such as kettlebell lifting, but they are also great for use in your workouts at home.

The kettlebells used in India appear to be the same by appearance, but the construction of the Indian kettlebell is different from the Russian style. The kettlebells used in any other country have different weightage and have a handle that is easy to grip. There are many people who prefer using kettlebells as an instrument to gain total body fitness. For example, they are quite popular with Crossfit enthusiasts.

While using kettlebells, there are various movements which help to make hearts, lungs and muscles work properly. One of the most common movements for the the kettlebell is the Swing, in which one hand is placed on the handle and the kettlebell is swung in between the legs up to the head.

Get positioned flat on your heels and while moving the kettlebell swing it up and continue the process. While doing so make a strong grip and don’t hurt yourself. Using a kettlebell increases the strength of your core muscles.

When the kettlebell is swung for the middle section of the body, it helps to make your cardiovascular system fit and helps to burn the fat in your lower body muscles.

Well if you are looking to lose weight, which can be done too by using the kettlebells. Make your one hand straight out in the front for balance and do the same as done earlier. There are many instructive Kettelbell DVDs that you can pick up if you want a varied kettlebell workout that is designed to help you lose weight.

There is no requirement of any bulky items while working out with kettlebells. We think if we indulge in lots of equipment in our workout, it will become easier for us to lose weight quickly. But it isn’t true. You can easily only use kettlebells in your workouts, and they make the task much easier. They will help you to lose weight as well as help keep the cardiovascular system fit.
